Getting started
Set up Formcrier in about ten minutes: add your site, install the script, connect WhatsApp and send yourself a test enquiry.
Before you start
You'll need your phone with WhatsApp on it, and a way to add code to your website. That might be your site builder's custom code setting, your WordPress admin, or your web developer.
You don't need a WhatsApp Business account, and you don't need to change your forms.
1. Add your website
After you sign up, enter your website's address, such as acmeplumbing.co.uk. We only accept submissions from the domains you list, so nobody else can send alerts using your key. You can add more domains later, like a staging site.
2. Install the script
Copy your script from the Install step and paste it just before the closing </body> tag on every page. Most site builders have a single place for this, so you only paste it once.

3. Turn on your forms
Open a page on your site that has a form. The script finds it and it appears under Sites → Forms marked "New — not listening yet". Forms start switched off so you only get alerts you want.
Switch on each form you want alerts for. If you'd like every form covered, including ones you add later, turn on "Listen to all forms automatically".
4. Connect WhatsApp
Go to Alert destinations → Add destination and choose WhatsApp.
- Scan the QR code with your phone's camera. On a phone already? Tap "Open WhatsApp" instead.
- WhatsApp opens with a short message ready to send. Press send.
- The dashboard changes to "Connected" and you get a confirmation message.
5. Send a test
Fill in one of your forms as if you were a customer. Within a few seconds the alert arrives on your phone. Tap View submission to see every field, then reply, call or copy the details.
Nothing arrived? The Overview page shows whether the script has been seen and whether each alert was delivered, with the reason if it wasn't.
